We Create… You Celebrate with the “Smile of the Child”

This the season of giving and helping the unprivileged….

In August 2017 we were happy to announce the official signing of our cooperating agreement between Royal Blue Luxury Events powered  Loggia Travel, its staff and friends as well as our sister companies with the Greek non profitable organization named “Smile of the Child”.  Our plan was for every event our company would host to donate from our winnings  to a charity or an organization in need by creating awareness and assisting in our own way with care, love and respect.

As our event season comes to an end and we reach the holidays,  we would like to express our gratitude and couldn’t be prouder for the generosity of our couples  who helped us in our vision by giving back to a very special cause like the “Smile of the child”.

For this we would like to take a moment and thank our beautiful couples for their support and may they be forever blessed in their lives together.

“The Smile of the Child” contributed successfully to the evaluation of Greece on the practical implementation and operation of the European policies on prevention and combating cyber crime

The evaluations of Greece took place within the framework of the 7th round of GENVAL mutual evaluations on the practical implementation and operation of the European policies on prevention and combating cybercrime.

“The Smile of the Child” along with the entire Greek delegation, state and private actors, prosecutorial and judicial authorities, the Hellenic Police, the competent authorities of the Hellenic Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights and other competent Ministries, independent authorities, banking authorities and associations contributed to the final positive outcome of the report of the Council of the European Union on the national efforts and policies of Greece against cyber crime.

More specifically, “The Smile of the Child” contributed to this process through its actions and experience as a non-governmental Organization for the protection of children in Greece following the invitation of the Hellenic Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. The process was completed after almost 2 years of activities including the completion of a written questionnaire, conduct of presentations before the experts and evaluators of the Council of the EU as well as on-site visits at competent authorities and services of the Greek state.

“The Smile of the Child” presented its actions and initiatives at national and international levels in the field of prevention, awareness and intervention on serious issues of children such as child pornography, sexual abuse and exploitation, internet safety and cyberbullying. A number of actions, tools and services were identified as good practices from the experts of the European Council and included to the final report on Greece. Among these are the following:
● the operation of the National Helpline for Children SOS 1056
● the operation of the European Hotline for Missing Children 116000
● the operation of the European Helpline for Children and Adolescents 116111 (all lines are interconnected to the European Emergency Number 112 of the Civil Protection Secretariat)
● the interventions of prevention and awareness at schools across Greece through the Mobile Lab of Information, Education and Technology “ODYSSEAS”
● The European Student Volunteer Network YOUSMILE

The importance of institutional cooperation developed by “The Smile of the Child” through specific Memoranda of Cooperation was also identified in the final report of the Council, as well as the expertise transferred from “The Smile of the Child” to Greece through international initiatives such as the European Antibullying Network (EAN) and the use of digital tools in cooperation with international authorities and partners such as Interpol, Europol, Facebook, the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) and the European Federation for Missing and Exploited Children (Missing Children Europe).
